Hi, I’m Kelsey — the owner and lead photographer behind Kelsey Applebaum Creative. I’m so glad you’re here.

I first fell in love with photography while studying abroad in Prague, where I spent my days photographing strangers and learning to see beauty unfolding everywhere. That experience taught me to slow down, pay attention, and look for the magic in the in-between. It’s a mindset I bring into every wedding and session I photograph.

My goal is simple: to create images that feel like magic. Not just the posed kind, but the kind that lives in the quiet glances, the unexpected light, and the details you spent months planning.

I shoot on both digital and film, using flash and natural light to layer softness, texture, and color into your gallery. Magic doesn’t look just one way, and my job is to capture all of it in a way that feels true to you.

Outside of photography, you’ll usually find me running or paddle boarding around Town Lake with my dog Muddy, watching reality TV, working out or skiing or hiking in the Colorado mountains.

Whether your wedding is a big, luxurious celebration or something small and deeply personal, I put everything I have into telling your story — the way it looked, and even more importantly, the way it felt.
